BelongTo have just kicked off their Stand Up at Work Campaign. This encourages everyone in the workplace to take a stand against homophobia & transphobia. Non-discrimination is a fundamental right at work as defined by the International Labour Organisation. The right to equal treatment in the workplace is reflected in Irish law. The Equality Acts outlaw discrimination at work, including discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity.
BelongTo have previously produced several videos that look at the difficulties faced by young people in schools dealing with their LGBT identity. Their new video offers a perspective on how employees deal with the same issue, including teachers working in schools run with a religious ethos.
